A wEekeNd to CoddLe

The sun was shining bright (and I was imagining it to be wearing a smile.. hehe), the weather was nice and wonderful, and it was indeed the right timing for our vacation weekend trip with my colleagues. We were so excited for that day to come (when we were still planning the trip), and even if there were unexpected denials from our friends to join with us (when we invited them), obviously those denials did not affect us in continuing our plan to celebrate – out from the busy days of work – out from the stressful world (in Eversun.. haha).

Actually, we all agreed to go to Samal (Island Garden City of Samal is it's real name) to discover the beautiful tourist destinations there.

It was Saturday. Our meeting place was in Magsaysay Park at around 10am. We chose that place because the bus terminal going to the island was there.

Hmm.. “Here we go Samal!” :)

Finally, we arrived at Samal and our first route was to explore the place which they call 'Canibad'. We were really very eager to see the place because we heard gossips from people that the place is really indeed one vicinity of a Secret Paradise. Also, we want to experience walking on the white sand (or pebbles as they say.. haha!) Well.. Let me test what the gossip tells..(lol)

After an hour and 30 minutes of riding on a motor cycle, we finally arrived at the gate of the secret paradise. Phew.. At last, I can saw the place!

It was a big “WHAAAT?!” that came out from my mouth when I was able to get a peek on the place. I was dismayed. =(

But that was just for a second.. As I looked at the portion on my left, I was surprised to see the perfect shore.

'This Way to Canibad' as being written on a 'ply board' hung on a tree. And so, we took the path as what we read on. To my excitement, I ran down fast to see the whole area.

It was may first time in Canibad, and so I surveyed the place first before deciding on which area we can occupy. I walk in the coast for a simple sight seeing. I was figuring out for a comfortable place to put up our tent and also to see if we are secured. Until I reached the last area. I then picked the spot for us to stay. That day, Canibad had many guests, but still luckily we found a comfortable place. We set up the tent and cooked our food.

Then the party begun!

After eating our food we took a rest for a while and watched the beauty of a clean, clear and adorable water in the seas. I could not control myself not to swim in the water so I dived and flapped my hand! I enjoyed myself. Afterwards, I played with the sand. The trees were waving and it did gave us fresh air to breathe. The nature offered adventures to nature lover cliques. The place was really preserved and clean. A place that can be worth remembering for.

The day had passed and our next route was to Vanishing.

I've been in Vanishing for a couple of times already and every time I visit the place, it always gives a warm welcome and pleasant surprises.

We arrived at the island still on a high tide. There were no grains of sand that can be seen. Only two cottages and a couple of mangrove trees in the middle of the two cottages which is also in the middle of the sea. The island was so solemn and the water was just in our hands - just under the cottage. As time passed, the wonders of Vanishing flourished. The white island came out under the crystalline water, the starfishes and shells were then all over the island. That time, it pleasantly surprised me. As the low tide came, the people also went to the island. Vanishing is in the middle of Samal and Davao City. It is a five hectare white island. When the high tide comes, the island submerges – water covers the whole area, and it will again be seen when the low tide comes.

As closure, I did enjoy the trip – the vacation (for me). With my friends around, we visited what we think are cool places in Samal. I know, there are still a lot of beautiful places to visit there. We just landed on two because we ran out of budget (haha).

Least understood Religion

I was researching some blogs today when my eyes caught on something. I launched myself on http://www.MindaNews.com. I browsed some headers and found something to read on. It was an attention-grabber.. really. The idea of the article was all about the Filipino Muslims.

“Title: BATANG MINDANAW: Gazing at the crescent moon: my thoughts on Filipino Muslims by Karina Blessica J. Vinluan

In the title alone... I got completely overwrought..

It amazed me because according to her, she doesn't have any attachments with any Muslim people but she has the willingness to dig deep, just to discover the true meaning of Muslim – the word itself and the people behind.

There was this sudden elation in me. I don't know if it's something like honored or excited. But I'm sure I was up heaved. Questions clouded my mind.. Why do some people highlight our religion? Our culture? Why don't they talk about their own? Their own culture? Their own religion? This questions pump on me so many times. I think we are just “the an apple of the eye”( LOL).

But I hate it when people generalize us to be very bad – though deep inside I know, I'm not one of them.. Even Christians do bad things too.. Why blame it all to Muslims? Why us? Why not them?

I know there's no discrimination here in our country but I want to let all of you know that we have a heart too.. We love.. We hope.. We also wish to have a peaceful community.. We all do, don't we?

Then stop blaming everything to us! It won't be fair!

I am really sensitive with matters like these.. I want to let everyone know that Muslims aren't bad people.. “We are just born warriors”, we don't want to be abuse by the other and even you us we don't want people taking advantage to us. We only want to respect one another and promote the peace and unity to each of us.

So I thank Karina (the author of the article which I've read), for pointing out the nicest thing about being a Muslim.. I would like to insert a little word to your article: “performing the word of ALLAH the almighty one and submitting to HIM is what you called a Muslim that holds the Islam religion.” I guess it will be the exact word for Muslim.

That's what's best in us.. We are devoted to our religion.. We respect ALLAH.. We love Him.. We owe and submit ourselves wholly to Him..

I salute her for understanding and promoting the least understood religion in the world – ISLAM..

Thanks Karina.. More power! :)

Flash IdeaS

This is a lonely day in my work place..

I feel bored.. The people are to busy doing their own tasks.. I'm also busy too, but I find them quite busier than me (hehe)..

Well, to make my day more worthwhile, I want to share what I did and learned a few hours ago..

Hmm.. As I was browsing the net for some ideas to learn for this day, it so happened that something suddenly crossed my mind.. It's about my work as a Link builder and what we call SEO. I've read a lot of blogs about SEO, finding it to be something like 'Search Engine Optimization'. I got curious of the word and so what I did was, I researched about it – its meaning and importance in the dynamic world of Internet businesses. How does SEO work in making an Internet business or an entire website traffic-driven?

It says that once a website is properly optimized, you are 100% sure that your site (including your business) would obtain great rewards (higher page ranks and increased sales). There are in fact a lot of steps to follow and tools to use to make sure that your website is ready to be publicized. I believe I don't need to mention them all as it can be searched via the Internet (kapuy isa-isahon mn gud.. hehe).

So much for that, a question immediately raised on my mind: “Do all Internet users realize what SEO is?”

Well obviously, not all. The most people exposed to this topic are businessmen who do their marketing online. Even me, I haven't heard of it until such time I got to work with American businessmen as clients. Some may perceive it simply as something that could help them in the increase of their site's page rank. Yes, indeed it could! However you need to acquire sufficient knowledge about how to use it.

Now I know what SEO is.. I guess I need to proceed to the next task. :)

sKinnY moMent!

Can you describe me?

Probably, the only word that will pop up immediately in your mind is "thin", exactly; but i don't agree with that.. I'm not thin.. I'm just skinny. =)

Agree?

Of course we can't judge everyone, because each one of us is entitled to our own opinions. We can say whatever we want to say because we live in a democratic country, or is it really democratic? Well, democratic as we all know but if we express that feeling we must watch our backs.

Have you heard of Political Killings?

Yes you did. A bet on that!

Did it ever cross your minds that the causes of those are exactly from the term democracy? The victims are just expressing freedom – their freedom! Freedom that is entirely questionable. Questionable yet retains to be unanswered.. unsolved..

Who wants to imprison himself anyway?!

I think no one because even I, myself loves to express what is inside of me. I won't let myself into trouble if I know I'm wrong.

I love freedom.. I love democracy.. But I'm afraid now - freedom is a word much more relevant to silence. Psshh.. 'Coz if you break that silence – your life's at risk..

So.. What do you think of me again?

Thin? OK. That's your opinion.

But I STRONGLY believe - I'm just skinny.

Bakeruddin

What is your name again?

"Bakeruddin"

How do you spell your name? Is it double "R" or "D"?

Having this unique name of mine or shall we say interesting name, comes a great responsibility. Ahem..
What is your name again? sounds like a superhero line.. for sure you know that. Well kidding aside, almost all of the people I've met and asked my name have second thoughts, and eventually bear questions or give feedbacks questioning why my name's like that. Probably because it sounds like Japanese, a warrior's name in the ancient time. Well for me, it doesn't really matter. My name is the first gift given by my parents to me so I am indeed thankful for that. I did not even came to the point that I questioned them about that, or did I? Haha! But I'm proud. My name's unique after all.

A name is a label for a human or animal, thing, place, product (as in a brand name) and even an idea or concept, normally used to distinguish one from another. Names can identify a class or category of things, or a single thing, either uniquely, or within a given context. A personal name identifies a specific unique and identifiable individual person. The name of a specific entity is sometimes called a proper name.

My name makes me unique.

What's my name again?

“Bakeruddin”

And I love it!

How about you? Did you come to the point that you regret your name?

I will just take this opportunity to have a short description of my self.
Well I'm a happy person love's to have adventure and taking challenges even if I don't know what will be the end of the challenge but for sure I can take every challenge that they will give me.
I always want every people to be happy.
I love to travel and experience the wonder of life.
Half of my life I was away from my family so I take that thing positively because I learned a lot of things due to that scene of my life.
I always take a piece of experience and apply that into my life because deep inside me that will be a challenge of life.
Sometimes I want to be alone but as time runs silent can be hazardous in the ear.

Thanks for listening...
