time As it flow...

Days are to fast to pass, I can't imagine that Ramadan is just a week to go. Last time I celebrated this festival together with my family but now I think it will be all alone with my self. (huh) It is hard to wake up at the 2.30 AM to prepare for the meal that you will be eaten before the SUBOH or the 1st prayer but I will take is as a challenge to myself and enjoy with eat. This will be my practice now because in far from my family. Ramadan is not for long it will not take much time, its just only for a month.

I also search some information to let the reader know what is really Ramadan is:

Ramadan is a Muslim religious observance that takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, believed to be the month in which the Qur'an began to be revealed.

The name "Ramadan" is taken from the name of this month; the word itself derived from an Arabic word for intense heat, scorched ground, and shortness of rations. It is considered the most venerated and blessed month of the Islamic year. Prayers, sawm (fasting), charity, and self-accountability are especially stressed at this time; religious observances associated with Ramadan are kept throughout the month.

Laylat al-Qadr, which falls during the last third, commemorates the revelation of the first verses of the Qur'an and is considered the most holy night of the year. Ramadan ends with the holiday Eid ul-Fitr, on which feasts are held. During the month following Ramadan, called Shawwal, Muslims are encouraged to fast for a further six days.

During Ramadan, Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam and to avoid obscene and irreligious sights and sounds. Sexual activities during fasting hours are also forbidden.[Qur'an 2:187] Purity of both thought and action is important. The fast is intended to be an exacting act of deep personal worship in which Muslims seek a raised level of closeness to God Almighty.

The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the inner soul and free it from harm. Properly observing the fast is supposed to induce a comfortable feeling of peace and calm. It also allows Muslims to practice self-discipline, sacrifice, and sympathy for those who are less fortunate, intended to make Muslims more generous and charitable. Muslims can eat after the sun has set. Pregnant women, the elderly, the ill and children less than 12 years of age are all exempt from fasting as lack of food could damage health.

The Eid falls after 29 or 30 days of fasting, as per the lunar sighting. Eid ul-Fitr means the Festival of Breaking the Fast, a special celebration is made. Food is donated to the poor (‘Zakat al-Fitr’), everyone puts on their best, preferably new, clothes, and communal prayers are held in the early morning, followed by feasting and visiting relatives and friends. The prayer is two rakaahs only, and it is an optional prayer as opposed to the compulsory 5 daily prayers

This allows for quality family time, and is akin to the Christian/North American tradition of taking Christmas and Christmas Eve off as holidays. This also allows for time off to celebrate the Eid prayer at a mosque and with family. The fast always ends after 29 or 30 days of fasting, and thus the request would be for the 29th and 30th day after the start of the fast.

Hope in this Information gives you some point of view about Ramadan.

Snap shot...

I woke up cheerfully this morning..

Hmmnn.. The surroundings were still fresh with a bird humming around in the tree that stood in front of our boarding house.

I stretched for a while before taking a bath and smelled the freshness of the air. It is a very calm day.
As my eyes toured around the ground, something caught my attention – it was the bird. The bird played with the fruit that fell on the ground.

So I watched and observed it. Suddenly, I realized that it was a turtle dove in the city, (wow) I was so amazed with what I saw because I always see that kind of bird in my hometown only, where mountain ranges are present. Proudly, I am a native from Compostela Valley, who, in my need to develop myself more independently, decided to reside and continue living here in Davao City.

As I was watching the bird, I imagined momentarily that - what if this bird was in a cage and not able to enjoy its freedom? Peculiarly as I am, I then imagined myself in the bird's foot, wherein I am enclosed in a 'somewhat' cage of life, unable to move myself because of fear to commit omissions. What if there is huge barricade that prohibits me from doing what I want as well as to explore my own dreams? And nothing can be worse than if that certain person, who built that wall, can easily pass and bypass my silence in my own cage.. Huh.. That, I believe, is unfair!

I am used to be living free – free to do whatever I want and free to express whatever there is a need to be blown off. Then just in an instant, I would be placed in a corner wherein I am limited with all my actions? Not to mention the dictatorship that can overrule anytime I let myself engage in that particular situation.. hoo! It gives me headache just by thinking about those 'misfortunes' (that, I can call the situation itself). Adjustment would be so much difficult, I presume.

What I am trying to blurt out is – everyone needs and deserves to be free. Do not overrule or dictate anybody. We are born with individual souls, and so, dictatorship is off the limits. Yes you may, but with due respect. Never control any body's life or else.. the result would be unwanted.

LOLs...
tsk tsk tsk..
So much for the imagination. I realized I still need to take a bath. Toinkz. Hehehe..

Now that's what I call a lucky day!

8/8/08 has a nice ring to it, don't you think? After the frenzy created this year on 7-7-07, a popular wedding date considered lucky by many, wedding vendors and engaged couples are looking out for the next extra-popular date. August 8, 2008 falls on a Friday, so it likely won't be quite as popular as the 7/7/07, which was a Saturday. However, since 8 is an extremely lucky number in Chinese culture, watch for huge numbers of Chinese weddings on this day.

But it's not just Chinese couples that are considering 8/8/08. Couples like dates such as these because they sound cool, and are easy to remember. And while Friday weddings are less popular, they are often cheaper. If you can find vendors not trying to make an extra profit, 8/8/08 allows you to get the Friday deals without looking cheap to your friends.

Huh..

But for me I cant afford to be in a marriage situation now because of some aspect that can be a problem, if i'm in that stage. Although i want to have my own family and to play with my own child it will always end out at night thinking if i can be a good father to my children and a perfect partner with my wife.(lols) sounds crazy but i always do that. I need to be prepared in all aspect as the time and i set a deadline to my self that i will be on 101010 (im the 1 and my wife will be the 0) looks great and wonderful. By that time i can be a father and a husband and i look forward to eat. For now just want to finish my studies in preparing for my future family. Now that's what I call a lucky day. WWWWWeeeewwwwww... (lol)

walk with a smile

children..

hmmpp.. huh

last Sunday afternoon, i meet a child name Adrian, at first he was so shy with me. His with her ate, he always at the back of his ate to hide with me. i always stare at him and trying to find out what is my step to make him comfortable with me.So i just observe him to find out what is his weakness and i think that is my strongest point to be with him.

we go to a certain food chain to eat because he is hungry as he tells to his ate. we go and eat then suddenly there's some thing drop at Adrian's back and automatically pump in my mind a joke of accuse him that he is the cause of that object to drop. so he madly answer and reason out to me that he did not do anything and why him in fact he is a distance to that object.(in my mind he has a broad reasoning ability) then that time he talk to me and that is my opportunity to communicate with him and the next part he always hold my hand where ever we go and he forget about his ate.(lol)

Adrian is a for years old kid that has great sense and playful. he's just a kid but he talk mature to his age. the thing that i can't forget towards his is his idol anime movie "cars".

after that we go separate ways, i walk with a smile because i thought that i cant manage to be with a children but the thing that i learn that time is that i can be with them even if from the start i dont like children..(lols) that moment is so ironic. hahahha

Lets play this game!

What is skimboard?
Skimboarding, is based primarily on the principle of hydroplaning. Skimboards are smaller and thinner
than surfboards because they do not require as much buoyancy.

The skimboard is a craft of varying size, usually of some oval or tear-drop shape. The tail of the board is most commonly pintail though custom shaped boards are occasionally squash-tail or fishtail. The front of the board usually comes to a point with some exceptions where the nose of the board has a more rounded shape. The best size board, in most cases is about your mid-chest height. Modern skimboards are made out of fiberglass or carbon fiber and take advantage of a high density foam to
serve as a core.

A little back ground of history to share in you:
The earliest known record of skimboarding goes back to 1920 in Laguna Beach. There are photographs from that time period of Laguna Beach lifeguards skimming along the sand on large plywood boards.

Some sample og technique for you to be inspire of:
A rider drops the board and runs on the board without having to catch up to it. This is known as the "One-Step", although there are other variations such as the "Two-Step" and the "No-Step". The skimboarder will then attempt to slide to the wave possibly "pumping" or "sideslipping" to maintain
speed. This technique is often summed up as "Run, Drop, Slide" and is considered the basis of advanced skimboarding. When the wave is reached it can be riden "down the line", or the rider may
attempt to launch off the waveface and attempt an aerial trick. It is not uncommon to see a rider run
on a board front foot first even though most skimboarders run on back foot first. A variation on "Run, Drop, Slide" is the "Monkey Crawl" where the rider holds both sides of the board and crouches down running into thick water with the board on the surface, while maintaining a fast pace the rider
quickly hops and glides on the board. This technique is used for hitting larger waves for the more advanced. Another variation on the standard drop is the "suitcase drop" where the rider runs with the board held in one hand like a suitcase then flicks their hand and drops it so it lands flat before running on. A common misconception is that the board is thrown ahead and chased then

Right place to play skimboard:
There are several primary ways in which a skimboard can be ridden: either gliding over a layer of water
or wet sand towards a wave, or riding in shallow water away from the ocean (known as flatland or inland skimming).

Types of skimboards:
The different types of skimboards are only due to the different material which it is made. Beginner
boards are usually wood or poly glass. The rest are E-glass, S-glass, Carbon fiber, and Kevlar
material.
